NYE 2018 & A Round Up Of The Year

As the final blog post of 2018 I wanted to share a round up of the year…but first here is the latest shoot with Sarika, three elegant and understated outfits for New Year’s eve or an evening out over the festive season. I am very much enjoying wearing my jewellery layered over a jumper or blouse in the winter and my love Sarika has shown her favourite evening outfits to layer her Lioness’s.

Outfit 1 - featuring my Lioness drop pendant worn over a white blouse dress - I love this as the drop pendant sits so beautifully on the high neck, the neckline is 16 inch on this pendant so it layers better over a thinner material such as a blouse as opposed to a jumper.

Outfit 2 - I am a little bit in love with this; Amy Winehouse vibes, cat eye eyeliner, pearls and silky black shirt. Timeless and classic outfit and the Lioness Double coin is one of those pendants that you can wear with anything and everything.

Outfit 3 - The good old roll neck jumper, this is the kind of outfit for when you want comfort but it can be dressed up with a skirt and smart shoes. I live in roll necks at this time of year and my Lioness double coin is the piece to sit perfectly over any jumper and add a bit of lux.

I hope this gives you some inspiration if you already own a piece or are thinking of buying one. Sarika always makes me want to wear my own jewels…..Special little thank you to her, she always creates such beautiful imagery / styling of my pieces and is a constant source of inspiration, Insta @sarikathakorlal

I wanted to say a massive thank you for all of your orders, kind messages and appreciation of my work, 2018 has been an incredible year; my collaboration with Alice Catherine and the launch of ‘The Prettiest Star’ collection which so many of you loved, I could not keep the rectangle pendant in stock for long. This collection will continue into 2019 with more exciting developments to come. My engraved heart proved to be really popular this year, so next year you will see some new pieces added to my heart range as well as a completely new range which I have been working on and I am dying to share and start wearing myself (vintage inspired of course). My Lioness signature piece the Double Coin was a firm favourite of 2018 and I very much enjoyed doing a few with some special engravings on the back. Its been a hectic year and I have been so busy with making and everything that goes along with running a business that I took on some help pre Christmas; Helen, an old colleague, joined me one day a week in the workshop to help make your pieces. She will be staying on board next year too, and we will continue to hand-make each and every piece.

Finally a massive thank you for your help to raise money in my two charity auctions and charity raffle. In 2018 we raised money for Refugee Support (with money going direct to the Calais refugee camps), Kings Heath Action for Refugees, and B30 Foodbank. So many of you placed bids and bought raffle tickets to raise money for these causes and I really appreciate it. There will be more of this to come in 2019.

Thank you, love
